Christians heading to Australia to study – exploring the challenges and opportunities of studying in Australia for Christians and getting in touch with good gospel churches and student ministries.

Christians currently studying in Australia – encouraging you to live for the gospel as Christian students and getting you to think about how you can make the most of your student days in Australia.

Christians returning to Malaysia– examining the issues that come with returning to work in a fast-paced, work-obsessed culture. How do we cope with these challenges? What does it mean to live for the gospel in a society like Malaysia? How should we think about choosing a job, or choosing a church?

Elective #1: Choosing a Church
These days there are so many different churches to choose from. There are churches with different traditions, music, elders and even buildings. But how do we choose which one to go to? What factors are important when it comes to choosing a good church? And does it even matter what church we go to? Come to this elective to find out what the Bible has to say about these questions and how to choose a good church.

 By Kevin Phang
Kevin studied chemical engineering at UNSW and worked as a analyst before pursuing an apprenticeship in FOCUS International church. He chose to do an apprenticeship to be equipped with ministry skills to serve the gospel in Malaysia. During his apprenticeship he mainly teaches and reads the bible with overseas students in UNSW. He is married to Zoe.

Elective #2: Faithful at Work: Adjusting To Life at the Workplace
It is big transition moving from study to work. There are many changes, and many pressures. And we may have all kinds of questions! What is the purpose of work? How can I be a good witness at work? Should I aim for excellence? Should I stay back late? What job should I take in the first place? At this elective we’ll think about the purpose of work, the idols we might encounter, and how to truly honour Christ in the workplace.
