Registration of Interest for Master of Ministry
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Equip Seminary is pleased to announce that we are planning to introduce a flexible Master of Ministry (MMin) graduate degree programme by extension in 2028.
Like the existing Equip-MBS graduate programmes, this graduate degree is intended to prepare students for Christian leadership and for a teaching and training ministry in local churches and para-church organisations.
However, this MMin degree is specifically designed for those who are not yet able to study either full-time or on a 50% part-time workload basis. Students may upgrade to one of our existing Equip-MBS degree programmes (e.g., MCS or MDiv) at any time as long as they complete any missing subjects, such as Biblical Greek, as soon as possible.
Personal spiritual development, preaching and teaching skills, and at least 120 hours of word-ministry experience are also essential elements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Recommendation from local church
- Good academic degree in any subject
- Pass with credit BT111 Bible Overview from our Certificate programme
- High competency in written English
STUDY MODE
Like with the Equip Diploma in Theology qualification, the MMin can be studied flexibly as long as students complete at least one subject per year. Students have 10 years to complete the 60-credit degree.
The programme below comprises 5 specialities. Students are expected to progress through them concurrently, from top to bottom and respect each speciality’s prerequisites.
Classes will be scheduled according to the MDiv semester schedule and timetabled for evenings or as an in-person intensive at least every other year. Students will be required to take leave from their other responsibilities to attend intensives and an annual retreat.
TUITION FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP
Equip Seminary expects tuition fees and a per semester registration fee to be set at the same level as for its DipTh programme (see https://new.equip.org.my/fees/).
However, as the KVBC Equip scholarship is designed to encourage students to sample up-to degree-level study (e.g., the DipTh) or to enable students to focus on either part- or full-time study, MMin scholarship will only be available in exceptional circumstances.
ACCREDITATION
Equip Seminary expects to have achieved independent accreditation status with Asia Theological Association (ATA) by 2030. While Equip’s other degrees are ATA-accredited today through our partnership with Malaysia Bible Seminary (MBS), this programme does not meet MBS’s requirements.
