The mission of Equip is to prepare Christians for works of ministry, in partnership with local churches, through Biblical, theological and ministry skills training.Â
Our ministry skills courses are taught in local churches by approved Equip teachers and provide local churches with an excellent opportunity into bring high quality training to their congregation members.Â
Equip provides extensive training for Youth Ministry leaders, Youth Workers, Youth Pastors, Secondary School Teachers, and anyone with a burden for our youths in Malaysia. Each module takes 2 hours, and the host church may choose to run more than one module on a given day (maximum 2 modules per day). The host church has the opportunity to choose the interested module(s), given that the foundation module is completed first.

Training Modules
These are the modules currently offered by our Equip Youth Ministry Training:
 A. CORE
1. Gospel-Centred Youth Ministry
This module explores and explains what should be the core of Youth Ministry in our churches: The Gospel. It answers question on the “what”, “why” and “how” of a gospel-centred Youth Ministry.Â
 2. Youth Ministry by The Book (Bible Engagement for Youth)
This module explores what it looks like to keep the Bible central to Youth ministry and answers questions such as “Why do we need to engage the Bible?” and “How do I do it?” and “Why is the Bible relevant to youth today. It also encompasses the practical steps of studying and teaching the Bible.
 3. Preaching to Youth
Preaching to youth can be a daunting task. Youths today have short-attention span and are more experiential and interactive due to various medias they are exposed to. In this module, we aim to help youth leaders to be able to preach God’s Word faithfully in an interesting, engaging and relevant way that upholds the sufficiency and authority of God’s word.
 4. Discipling Youth
This module explores how to disciple youth prayerfully with God’s word in an appropriate way.
 5. Planning Programs for Youth Ministry
How do I make my youth fellowship interesting, relevant and yet gospel-centred? Why aren’t my friends coming to our church events? By looking at the principles of program-planning, this module aims to help you to plan programs that meet the needs of the youths and their community.
 6. Dealing with the Struggles of Today’s Generation
Social media, peer pressure, broken families, domestic abuse, self-identity, friendships, boy-girl relationships – these are just some of the issues that the youth today goes through. Due to the rapid change in technology and society, many of these issues didn’t even exist ten years ago!
In this module, we aim to identify and address some of the struggles that the youths are facing today. By going to Scriptures, we aim to meet the needs of the youths and raise up a gospel-centred generation in the midst of a changing and struggling world.
B. ELECTIVES:
7. Bible Overview for Youth
This module gives an overview of the whole Bible to help equip Youth Leaders to effectively teach from any part in the light of the whole.
8. Using Social Media in Youth Ministry
Learn how to use social media to expand your youth ministry reach.
9. Apologetics Amongst Youth
Learning how to defend the gospel amongst youths today.
10. Theology for Youth
To see the importance of theology for youth and making theology simple, relevant and for youth today.
11. Writing Bible Studies for Youth
Learn how to write Bible studies for youth that are fun, relevant and engaging and yet faithful and not superficial.
12. Preparing Games/Icebreakers for Youth Events
Learning how to prepare and plan games/icebreakers for various youth events.
13. Gospel-Centred Youth Music
How do you go about choosing biblically faithful songs that connect with youth? How do you lead singing in a way that edifies and doesn’t distract from the centrality of God’s word?
